“It’s Not Love, It’s Control” is an AI-driven awareness project exposing a hidden form of violence against women: technology-enabled control within intimate relationships.

Through a narrative of digital manipulation, the project shows how everyday technologies, phones, location tracking, financial monitoring, and emotional threats, can become tools of control.

Released as part of a global awareness day, it aims to help women recognize these patterns, spark public dialogue, and reframe technology as a force for protection rather than harm.

The project was developed using Generative AI For Good’s ethics-first approach, grounded in real-life cases and created in close collaboration with survivors of domestic violence, combining technology, professional guidance, and responsible creativity.

From the earliest stages, the process was shaped in partnership with Na’amat and guided by legal and professional expertise in violence against women, ensuring the story is accurate, sensitive, and rooted in lived experiences of technology-enabled abuse.
